Cheryl Lynn Golemo has appeared as an actor, dancer (and occasionally as a musician) on various stages and screens for over 20 years. A native Chicagoan, she trained at the University of Illinois’ conservatory, the Professional Actors' Training Program, and later earned her M.A. from Northwestern University.
Cheryl has acted in the independent feature films: The Helsings, Common Senses, Todd Looby’s The Site, and numerous SAG indie short films including: If You Step On A Crack (2004 best dramatic short - Midwest Independent Film Festival/IFP Chicago Film Fest, and featured at the American International Film Festival Agen, France), Will Clinger’s The Calvin Lewis Bobby Mayfair Show(s), The Wrong Man, Rain Rain, Dispatch, The Absent Fitting, The Speaker and Beverly’s Garden, among others.
For the stage, she toured the nation as an actress/dancer/musician ensemble member of the unique and nationally recognized St. Louis’ Metro Theatre Company, and worked at Steppenwolf Theatre (Outreach), Lyric Opera of Chicago (actor/dancer), Drury Lane Theatre Water Tower Place, The Next Lab (where she received a Jeff-Nomination for her original flute music for 5xNo, directed by Dexter Bullard), Redtwist, Provision, First Folio, Lifeline, Trap Door, and numerous other black-box, non-union and AEA Chicago theatre companies where fine, Chicago-style, ensemble theatre flourishes.
